DAMYNS HALL AIRFIELD

DAMYNS HALL AIRFIELD is one of the nearest airfields to central London and is accessible by road, train, and of course plane! The airfield has a full range of facilities including ample parking, specatator viewing area and The Aviator Cafe (open for breakfast and lunch; drinks and snacks available all day).

The airfield has been host to the Star of London Zeppelin and rehearsals for the Red Bull Air Race, as well as an annual Military Vehicle Show. On a more regular basis, you are likely to see wing walking displays, helicopters, vintage aircraft and fixed wing microlights - for further information, visit www.fly2up.com.

The airfield is based on greenbelt land in rural Essex, close to Belhus Woods Country Park. The immediate aerial landscape comprises green fields, lakes and woodland, with views of the London skyline in the distance and the River Thames to the south. The airfield is within a short flight of the Thames Estuary and the coast.

Spectators are very welcome and there is space for children to run around within a secure fenced off viewing area. Sorry, but dogs are not allowed on the airfield for safety reasons.
